With dozens of his former players and even some old teammates in attendance, Florida State coach Leonard Hamilton walked out of the Tucker Center on Saturday with one more victory.

And it was a huge one — an upset win over SMU, 76-69, that gave Hamilton 200 ACC regular-season wins for his career. He finishes his career ranked fourth all-time in that category.

Hamilton was coaching his final home game after 23 seasons at Florida State. He will likely wrap up his tenure this week at the ACC Tournament in Charlotte.

With the win, Florida State finishes the regular season at 17-14 and 8-12 in the ACC. SMU falls to 22-9 and 13-7.

In his first game back from injury, center Malique Ewin was dominant at times Saturday. He finished with 26 points and eight rebounds.

Guard Jamir Watkins, who was honored before the game for Senior Day, added 20 points and 8 rebounds.

Florida State led 33-32 at halftime and never trailed in the second half.

After the game, Hamilton was honored during an on-court celebration.
