Loucks hires Sacramento Kings assistant Jim Moran to join FSU staff

Shortly after he was hired as FSU men’s basketball coach, Luke Loucks said he planned to bring in some assistant coaches and staff members with NBA ties. 

One of those new assistant coaches will be someone he worked with closely with the NBA’s Sacramento Kings.

According to the Sacramento Observer, Kings assistant coach Jim Moran has agreed to join Loucks’ first staff.

In 2024, Jim Moran became an Assistant Coach for the Sacramento Kings. Coach Moran was born in Syosset, New York and played for and graduated from William & Mary College, where he received a bachelor’s degree in sociology. Coach Moran and his wife, Rosalyn, have three children.
