Florida State commit Luke Kromenhoek moves up, now No. 3-ranked QB in country
On3 unveiled its updated recruiting rankings for the class of 2024 on Monday, and Florida State’s long-time quarterback commit, Luke Kromenhoek, has moved up again.
Since the last update in April, Kromenhoek has moved up to the No. 3 quarterback in the country and the No. 3 player in the state of Georgia. The four-star Savannah, Ga., standout previously was the No. 5 quarterback and seventh-best prospect in his state.
Kromenhoek also has soared 18 spots in the overall player rankings to No. 27 in the country, which means he is very close to five-star status.
This comes after the recent Elite 11 competition, where Kromenhoek finished fourth, according to On3. He also was named the prospect with the “most upside” at that event by On3 director of scouting and rankings, Charles Power.
“I think Luke Kromenhoek showed perhaps the highest upside of any quarterback we saw at the Elite 11 finals. Big arm, he can drive the ball downfield, I think he has well above average athleticism and movement skills.” Power said on The Inside Scoop Monday, “The biggest thing with Luke Kromnehoek, his junior year was his first year as a varsity starter so we’re kind of expecting him to take more of a jump as a senior, but I think the upside that he showed at the elite 11 finals is really encouraging.”

“It’s awesome,” Kromenhoek said of getting the Elite 11 invitation. “I wouldn’t be able to achieve any of this without the people surrounding me, and I’m very thankful for them.”
Kromenhoek was not the only Seminole commit to move up in the rankings Monday. One of Florida State’s newest commitments, four-star wide receiver Elijah Moore, was one of the biggest movers nationally.
Moore was not ranked in the On3 300 in the last ranking update but now is listed as the 108th-best player in the country, making him the second-highest riser in this update. He also is now the nation’s 20th-best pass catcher and the No. 1 player in Maryland.
