On3 released the final edition of its On300 rankings for the 2024 recruiting class this morning, and Florida State quarterback signee Luke Kromenhoek was listed as one of the nation’s 32 five-star recruits.

Kromenhoek is now locked in as the 26th-best player nationally in the 2024 class. He rose five spots in the rankings since the last release, when he was one of the top four-stars.

The Savannah, Ga., product is Florida State’s first five-star quarterback signing since Jameis Winston in the class of 2012. He is the Seminoles’ first five-star at any position, according to On3, since Cam Akers, Marvin Wilson, Joshua Kaindoh and Khalan Laborn in 2017. (Other FSU signees like Hykeem Williams and Julian Armella were five-stars at various points of their recruitments, but not in the final rankings.)

Kromenhoek has consistently climbed through the rankings over the last two years. When he committed to Florida State in March 2022, he was only a three-star, according to most major services.

Florida State coach Mike Norvell even commented on that fact on National Signing Day last month.

“It was before he had all the rankings and all the things — we saw something special in Luke and he’s just continued to do all the things that we believe that he would ultimately become — and I think that he’s just getting started on this journey,” Norvell said. “And when you add that at quarterback, these guys are,
they’re remarkable.”

Kromenhoek also had a great showing at the Elite 11 quarterback camp over the summer, solidifying himself as one of the best signal-callers in the country.

This past season at Benedictine Military School, he backed that up by throwing for 31 touchdowns with only three interceptions.

The now five-star is already on campus at Florida State as an early enrollee. He is currently taking part in Tour of Duty workouts and will be with the team for spring practice.
