Three days after his team’s dramatic 35-31 win over Louisville on Friday night, Florida State football coach Mike Norvell remained upbeat about the play of quarterback Tate Rodemaker and said initial reports on the status of injured players Jordan Travis, Jared Verse and Robert Scott were encouraging.

Norvell remained confident in the kick game, firmly stating, “Ryan (Fitzgerald) our kicker. Ryan has done a good job for us over the years.” Fitzgerald is 3-for-6 on field goal attempts this season.

Offensive coordinator Alex Atkins underscored the play of Jordan Travis, who completed his first 11 passes, by calling him a “baller.” Atkins was equally succinct in his praise of Johnny Wilson, who broke out with a seven-catch, two-touchdown performance saying, “He’s a problem. And he’s going to garner two people … if he keeps working like he does, he’s a problem out there.”
