New Commitment! FSU flips 6-5 WR Teriq Mallory from West Virginia
The Florida State Seminoles are continuing to rebuild their 2025 wide receiver class, and on Tuesday they got more good news as former West Virginia commit and three-star WR Teriq Mallory flipped his pledge to FSU.
The Seminoles now have two receiver commits in the class, with Signing Day looming on Wednesday. FSU flipped junior college prospect and former Arizona State commit Jordan Scott, a 6-7 wideout, last week.
“I believe that Coach [Mike] Norvell is a great coach,” Mallory told On3’s Chad Simmons about his commitment. “I like that he played wide receiver and has coached great wide receivers, so he knows what it takes to be great. His mindset, passion for the game and coaching style are some other things I like.”

There has been a lot of buzz around Florida State ever since the Seminoles made a late offer to the 6-foot, 5-inch Mallory last month. The ‘Noles followed that up with an official visit this past weekend, and after Mallory took time to think it over with his family, he picked what he said was his “dream school.”
“It was a very good visit,” Mallory said after his visit. “They met the expectations and beyond. I love it.”

The wideout also loved the energy in the FSU locker room and the way the team has responded to a tough season under Norvell.
“I know he’s not going to have another year like this season,” Mallory said.

This past season, Mallory racked up 691 yards and eight touchdowns, while averaging 14 yards per catch.
FSU likely isn’t done at the receiver position either, as the Seminoles are involved with several prospects including UCF commit and four-star WR Jayvan Boggs, who has visited FSU multiple times this season, and FAU commit Teddy Hoffman. The South Florida native got offered by Florida State on Monday.
