The Florida State women’s golf team already won one championship this season.

And thanks to the Seminoles’ performance over the last four days in California, they’re still very much alive to add a second.

One month after winning FSU’s first-ever ACC Women’s Golf Championship last month in North Carolina, the Seminoles are now chasing their first national title. They are one of eight teams remaining in the NCAA Championship tournament at the Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, Calif.

By virtue of finishing in fourth place after four rounds of stroke play, Florida State has now advanced to the match play portion of the championship. The Seminoles are the No. 4 seed. They will play No. 5 USC on Tuesday, and if they win that, they will play the winner of the Stanford-Virginia match later in the day.

Stanford rolled to the No. 1 seed in the four rounds of stroke play. The No. 1-ranked Cardinal finished 27-under par as a team. That was 21 shots better than second-place Oregon, which finished at 6-under.

Florida State finished fourth overall with a final team score of plus-3.

Mirabel Ting led the Seminoles by shooting 10-under par for the tournament, good for second place overall in the individual standings. Fellow amateur star Lottie Woad shot 5-under and finished in a tie for eighth place.

Not that any of the stroke play results matter now as the tournament switches over to match play.

Whichever team can win three matches over the next two days will be crowned the 2025 national champion.
