Observations, notes from FSU Basketball's 74-66 exhibition victory vs. Newberry

The Florida State men’s basketball team recorded a 74-66 victory Thursday night in its exhibition against visiting Newberry College, a Division-II school from South Carolina.

The Seminoles were led offensively by five players in double-figures, led by UCF transfer Darin Green Jr. with 15 points. Green connected on four of eight 3-pointers, and the Seminoles hit 11 of 23 3-pointers as a team.

Florida State also got 11 points and 7 rebounds from freshman forward Baba Miller, and 11 points and 9 rebounds from redshirt sophomore center Naheem McLeod.

Junior point guard Caleb Mills scored 10 points and delivered nine assists, while freshman forward Cameron Corhen added 10 points as well.

FSU will officially open up the 2022-’23 season on Monday, Nov. 7, against visiting Stetson.
