Wednesday was another busy morning as the quarterback world turns for Florida State.

Shortly after former QB Luke Kromenhoek officially entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, former Boston College quarterback Thomas Castellanos arrived on the Florida State campus around 9:45 a.m. for his official visit.

This FSU visit is Castellanos’ first since entering the transfer portal, but he reportedly may visit other schools as well.

Castellanos did not finish the 2024 season in Chestnut Hill, but he was productive during his year-and-a-half with the Eagles. In 2023, he threw for 2,248 yards, 15 touchdowns and 14 interceptions; he also rushed for 1,113 and 13 touchdowns on 215 carries.

Before leaving BC this season, he passed for 1,366 yards and 18 touchdowns with five interceptions.

The quarterback left the Eagles after being benched and having a fallout with the coaching staff.

Castellanos actually started his college career at UCF, so he is very familiar with new Florida State offensive coordinator and former Knights head coach Gus Malzahn. FSU coach Mike Norvell also previously recruited Castellanos out of high school, but as an athlete.

He was sacked 25 times, including eight times in the season finale against Florida.
