Seminoles flip 4-star WR Jayvan Boggs from UCF
Florida State continued rebuilding its 2025 wide receiver class on Wednesday with the Signing Day flip of former UCF commit Jayvan Boggs, a four-star recruit from Cocoa.
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, Boggs is a top-300 prospect in this class as well as a top-40 recruit at his position.
Picking the Seminoles gives him a chance to reunite with new offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn. Malzahn stepped down his post as UCF’s head coach last weekend to join Mike Norvell’s staff at Florida State.
Florida State is now the fourth and final school Boggs has committed to. Prior to the Seminoles, he was committed to Ohio State early on, then Missouri and then UCF over the summer.
FSU hopped into this recruitment fairly late, offering the Cocoa standout after losing four-star commitments CJ Wiley, Daylan McCutcheon and Malik Clark to other schools.

Boggs took an official visit to Florida State early in November for the North Carolina game. A week after that visit, FSU wide receivers coach Ron Dugans was dismissed, and Boggs would later shut down his recruitment with the intention of signing with UCF.
But with Malzahn now at FSU, the four-star receiver decided to become a Seminole after all.
As a senior for Cocoa, Boggs has caught 76 passes for 1,642 yards and 17 touchdowns in 12 games, according to MaxPreps.
