It took longer than the Florida State coaching staff was originally hoping, but quarterback Brock Glenn came back into the fold and committed to the Seminoles last month.

On Wednesday, the one-time Ohio State commitment made it official when he signed with Florida State and head coach Mike Norvell.

“I think Coach Norvell and I can do some special things,” Glenn said on the night he announced his commitment to the Seminoles in November.

It certainly wasn’t a slam-dunk recruitment for FSU, which seemed to be on the inside track to land the coveted signal-caller in the summer — right up to the point in late July when he committed to the Buckeyes. He stayed with Ohio State for almost four months, but on Nov. 22, he pulled the switch to the garnet and gold.

And on Wednesday, Glenn put pen to paper and officially became the next scholarship Florida State quarterback, joining a room that right now includes Jordan Travis, Tate Rodemaker and A.J. Duffy.

Travis is the clear starter heading into 2023, but the job will be up for grabs after that.

This season for the Lausanne Collegiate School in Memphis, Glenn completed 59 percent of his passes according to Max Preps, for 1,413 yards, 18 touchdowns and just three interceptions in 10 games. He also rushed for 443 yards and seven more scores. For his career, he totaled more than 4,500 yards of total offense and 68 touchdowns.

Glenn is currently listed at 6-foot-2 and 195 pounds.

Here is an On3 scouting report on Glenn before his senior season:

Pro-style signal caller who is advanced in his ability to scan the field and process the game. Has a well-put-together build that measures in at a shade under 6-foot-2, 195 pounds with just over a 10-inch hand. Ran an electronically-timed 4.78 40-yard dash and 4.25 shuttle as well as a 33.5-inch vertical on the spring camp circuit prior to his senior season. Has a pretty release and gets the ball up and out quickly. Can improve the natural zip on his ball, as it tends to die on deeper throws. Led Memphis (Tenn.) Lausanne Collegiate to the state semifinals while throwing for 1,576 yards, 23 touchdowns and 9 interceptions on 97 completions for a 63% completion percentage during his junior season. One of the highest floors of all the quarterbacks in the 2023 cycle. Will be a safe option for any Power 5 school that takes him and should add instant depth at the minimum early on in his career.
