Seminoles win clash with Miami, land 4-star athlete Edwin Joseph
Four-star athlete Edwin Joseph delivered huge news to the Florida State football team on Wednesday, as he committed to the Seminoles over rival Miami on the first day of the early signing period Wednesday.
UPDATE: Joseph officially signed with FSU shortly after, the school announced.
Joseph, who projects to line up as a defensive back in college, selected Florida State over the Hurricanes and Auburn. An in-state prospect out of state power Chaminade-Madonna Prep, he ranks as the nation’s No. 12 athlete, according to the On3 Consensus.
He gives the Seminoles not only a talented playmaker, but a victory in a head-to-head recruiting battle with the Hurricanes.

Joseph saved his Florida State official visit for the final weekend before the early signing period, and recapped the key trip that sealed the deal for him to become a ‘Nole.
“I loved it. I’ve been here a couple of times, and this was probably the best time because it was an official visit,” Joseph said. “I loved every single moment of it. The biggest part was going over to Coach Norvell’s house. That was the best part. It just felt like family.”
