Signing Day Shocker! FSU Flips Nation's No. 4 Running Back Ousmane Kromah from Georgia
On what has been a pretty sleepy National Signing Day for Florida State, the Seminoles pulled off a stunner Wednesday afternoon by flipping four-star Georgia RB commit Ousmane Kromah.
According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Kromah is the No. 4 running back in the country and a top-100 prospect overall in the 2025 class.
Florida State was thought to be a leader for the Leesburg, Ga., product early in the process, but he eventually committed to the home-state Bulldogs. Even then, however, he always stayed in communication with Mike Norvell and FSU’s coaches.
He then raised eyebrows this past weekend when he visited Florida State and left the facility with signing papers.
“Can’t really talk about that,” Kromah said, when asked about possibly flipping to FSU. “Can’t say too much about that.”

One thing Kromah discussed frequently was how big of a role Norvell played in his recruitment.
“I love Mike Norvell, that’s my dog,” Kromah said earlier. “That’s really like one of my favorite coaches — literally just from the relationship over the years and everything. He’s seen me the most, he’s watched me the most, he’s just a great person to be around. And Florida State just has great people to be around in general. It was just good to be back.”
