Source: Link Jarrett agrees to new contract extension with Florida State
Florida State baseball fans shouldn’t have to worry about Link Jarrett leaving any time soon.
Jarrett, who signed a seven-year contract when he left Notre Dame to become the Seminoles’ head coach in June 2022, just finished his second season in Tallahassee. And he has already been rewarded with a new contract extension, a university source confirmed to Warchant on Sunday evening.
Terms of the new extension were not immediately available.
Under Jarrett’s leadership, Florida State rebounded from a sub-.500 season in 2023 to emerge as one of the top teams in the country in 2024. The Seminoles reached the championship game of the ACC Tournament, posted a 49-17 record, won NCAA Tallahassee regional and super regional tournaments and made the semifinals at the College World Series.
Jarrett’s original contract started out at $875,000 annually the first two years and was scheduled to escalate to $1 million by the end of the deal.

A former Florida State All-American, Jarrett is a Tallahassee native and has said one of his primary career goals is bringing a national championship to Florida State.
Jarrett’s new extension was first reported by Brett Nevitt of 247Sports.
