One of the strangest journeys in Florida State football history is apparently coming to an end.

Sources have told Warchant and On3’s Pete Nakos that sophomore wide receiver Destyn Hill is planning to enter the NCAA transfer portal after what has been a wild four years.

Hill signed with FSU as a four-star prospect in the 2021 recruiting class but didn’t actually enroll until two years later. The Seminoles and Hill declined to discuss the delay of his enrollment, other than to cite “personal reasons.”

After more than two full years away from the sport, Hill then played during the fall of 2023 and actually started two games and saw action in 10 games for the Seminoles. He caught six passes for 87 yards, while battling a hamstring injury for part of the season.

The Louisiana product then looked poised to be a breakout candidate in 2024 with a great start to spring drills. But a torn ACL derailed his season, and he spent the entire summer and fall rehabilitating his injury.

Now, four years after he signed and after catching just six passes during his Florida State career, Hill is planning to finish his college career at another school.

OL Julian Armella enters portal

Prized 2022 FSU OL signee Julian Armella has entered the transfer portal. The former four-star recruit has worked some at tackle and guard but never cracked the rotation with the ‘Noles.
