The recruiting momentum for Florida State continued on Sunday as linebacker Timir Hickman-Collins became the third prospect to commit to the Seminoles in as many days.

This commitment came on the heels of a great visit for Collins at FSU’s Seminole Showcase on Saturday. After that event, he proclaimed FSU as his No. 1 school.

Florida State linebackers coach Randy Shannon made a huge impression on the 2024 prospect.

“I love the way Coach Shannon coaches,” Hickman-Collins told Warchant. “He gave me tips and tricks that I can use for this upcoming season, and I can see myself learning a lot from him.”

The lesser-known prospect out of Fort Mill, S.C., has gone under the radar early in the recruiting process, but he did impress at Florida State’s camp.

For Hickman-Collins, his heart was always with the Seminoles, and Saturday just assured that.

“Well, FSU has been my dream school since I could remember,” he said. “And every time I come to visit, they have yet to disappoint.”

The energy around the Seminoles also drew him to Tallahassee, particularly from head coach Mike Norvell.

“My meeting with Coach Norvell was great,” Hickman-Collins said. “He was just excited that he got to see me compete a little bit today and was ready to see me again soon.”

Since Hickman-Collins is unranked so far by On3, most will be unfamiliar with him and his style of play. But his HUDL film shows plenty of potential.

Florida State a commitment from four-star offensive tackle Manasse Itete on Saturday and five-star cornerback Charles Lester on Friday.
