Two UF Commits Expected to visit FSU this weekend
Not one but two Florida Gator football commits are expected to visit Florida State this weekend for the Seminoles’ matchup against North Carolina.
Per Corey Bender of GatorsOnline, four-star tight end Tae’shaun Gelsey will be in Tallahassee this Saturday. According to On3, the 6-foot-4, 220-pound-prospect is one of the top 15 tight ends in the country.
The most interesting part of this recruitment is that while the Gators see the Jacksonville native as a tight end, the Seminoles project him as a big wide receiver and extended him an offer only a few weeks ago.
The offer came after Florida State lost commitments from four-star receivers Daylan McCuthcheon to Texas and Malik Clark to South Carolina. This will be Gelsey’s first visit to Florida State since receiving the offer.
Three-star defensive lineman Jeremiah McCloud also will be on campus Saturday for his official visit.
McCloud originally told GatorsOnline that he wasn’t sure if he would make the trip, but he has since confirmed to Warchant this week that he still plans to be in Tallahassee.

This will be McCloud’s second visit to Florida State this season. He was at the Boston College game earlier this year.
The Lee County, Ga., standout also visited FSU over the summer for camp, and it became clear then that Florida State was going to make a push for the 6-foot-3, 285-pound prospect.
“I talk to Coach Odell [Haggins] day in and day out, almost daily … we talk on a regular basis,” McCloud told Warchant in June. “His message to me is that I’m gonna be a ‘Nole, gotta get things on track. They recruited me late, but we’ll get things back on track.”
