Florida State’s 2024 offensive line class is suddenly coming together quite nicely.

One day after the Seminoles landed a commitment from a four-star offensive tackle, they picked up a commitment from three-star offensive lineman Tye Hylton on Friday.

FSU offensive coordinator/line coach Alex Atkins offered Hylton a scholarship very early in the process, and he and the ‘Noles were rewarded with Friday’s commitment. Hylton and four-star commit Jonathan Daniels give Florida State two impressive building blocks for the future.

Hylton, a 6-foot-4, 282-pound lineman from Oviedo, can play a variety of positions along the offensive line; he has said that the Seminoles project him as a tackle or center.

FSU was the last school to host Hylton on an official visit when he took his June 23rd visit to check out the Seminoles one last time.

“It’s really like a brotherhood,” Hylton said at the time. “Like everyone here is tight, close. I’m like that personally.”

After the FSU official visit, Hylton raved about his relationship with Atkins and explained that his mother was becoming a huge fan of the ‘Noles.

“The first time my mom came on campus, she loved it. She really loved it,” he said. “Florida State blew her out of the water the first time she visited. She knows that someone is going to be there for her kid even through tough times, and that I’m in the right hands.”

Hylton is Florida State’s second offensive lineman of the 2024 class, and the Seminoles are in the running for more prospects who could commit this weekend, including four-star Tallahassee running back Michai Danzy.
