SMU rose to the occasion in its first conference game in the ACC with a resounding 42-16 win vs. reigning champion Florida State (1-4, 1-3).
Afterwards, Florida State head coach Mike Norvell discussed the state of the team calling it a hurt locker room that was embarrassed by how they finished the second half but expressed his belief in the team.

FSU’s next opponent, Clemson, knocked off Stanford 40-14 on Saturday night to improve to 3-1.
The Seminoles and Tigers will square off in Doak Campbell on Saturday, kickoff TBA.
Florida State added 14 players from the transfer portal and a high school recruiting class that finished 14th in the 2024 cycle. The 2025 early signing period for prep signees begins Wednesday December 4 and closes on December 6.
