Warchant TV 1-on-1: Chip Baker reflects on retiring after 39 years with FSU Baseball

After 39 years in various roles with the Florida State baseball program, longtime director of operations Chip Baker announced his retirement Thursday afternoon.
On Friday, Baker sat down with Warchant’s Jeff Cameron to discuss his decision to retire and also reflect on a wonderful four decades with the Seminoles.

From being the right-hand man to legendary head coach Mike Martin Sr. — whom Baker describes as “the greatest person I know” — to helping with the transition to new head coach Link Jarrett this past season, Baker shares many fond memories at FSU and explains why now was the right time for him to “move on.”
