The Florida State football team’s summer conditioning is in full swing with a host of players going through the rigors of a college workout for the first time. Four of those newcomers spoke with the media on Wednesday.

For wide receiver Destyn Hill, his offseason has been a bit unique. Hill committed to Mike Norvell and FSU in 2021 but delayed enrollment until May 2023 due to a family matter. A 6-foot, 190-pound receiver who played for Louisiana state power Edna Karr in high school, Hill said he’s further along than he anticipated and continues to be motivated by finally arriving in Tallahassee to fulfill his dreams.

WR transfer Keon Coleman is coming off a 58-catch, 798-yard sophomore season for Michigan State that saw the Louisiana native nab seven touchdowns. Coleman cited his previous relationship with the FSU staff, which also recruited him out of high school, as a determining factor in his decision to choose the Seminoles. Coleman sees a talented QB in Jordan Travis and a team on the cusp of championship success as driving factors for his enthusiasm for 2023.
