No. 4 Florida State improved to 6-0 and 4-0 in the ACC following its 41-3 win over the Syracuse Orange on Saturday afternoon in Doak S. Campbell Stadium.
Afterwards, FSU head coach Mike Norvell praised the play of the defense in his opening statement. “That was a great (defensive) performance,” said Norvell. “They played at a really played at a high level.”
After a 20-for-20 start to the season, FSU’s flawless red zone offense stumbled for the first time with a failed attempt. “We’ve been great in the red zone this year and had a couple opportunities that I’ve got to be better,” said Norvell. “It’s on me”
Florida State finishes off its three-game homestand next week with a 7:30 p.m. kickoff vs. No. 17 Duke (4-1, 1-0) on Oct. 21.
