Warchant TV: Florida State coordinators Papuchis, Shannon talk staff changes
Florida State (1-9, 1-7) enters its first full week of game prep with a retooled staff following the dismissal of three assistants on November 10.
Following Tuesday’s practice, newly elevated defensive coordinator Randy Shannon, who joined the program in 2021 as an analyst, and special teams coordinator, ends coach John Papuchis met with media to discuss the energy at practice and the mindset of the team following the coaching changes.
Florida State hosts Charleston Southern (1-11) on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. on ACCNX.

Florida State’s next opponent, Charleston Southern, fell to 1-10 after a 16-13 OT loss to Eastern Illinois. The Buccaneers rank 120th out of 123 teams in the FCS in scoring offense (14.8 ppg)
The Seminoles are idle this week and will host Charleston Southern on Nov. 23rd — it will be the season finale for the Buccaneers. Florida State will finish the season vs. Florida on November 30th in Doak Campbell Stadium.

Florida State’s high school recruiting class for 2025 currently sits outside the On3 Top 20 team rankings. The 2025 early signing period for prep signees begins Wednesday December 4 and closes on December 6.
The transfer portal will open for business Monday, Dec. 9, 2024, and closes Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025.
