(L to R) FSU freshmen Jonathan Daniels, Manasse Itete and Jamorie Flagg met with media on Wednesday

Florida State’s recruiting prowess has largely been recognized for its penchant to pull in top prospects from the transfer portal. However, the Seminoles 2024 high school signing class ranked 12th in the nation according to the On3 national rankings.

OL Manasse Itete, a native of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, is a recent convert to American football and credits his basketball background for giving him a diverse skillset on the offensive line.

OL Jonathan Daniels said his frequent visits to Tallahassee during the recruiting process cemented the family feel he sought in a college choice. He also referenced his closeness with fellow Pensacola native Darius Washington as instrumental into helping his transition to the rigors of a college schedule.

DL Jamorie Flagg committed early in the recruiting cycle and did not waver, crediting the bond he established with head coach Mike Norvell during the process. Flagg, who attended powerhouse program Booker T. Washington in Miami, joked he is not used to playing for a losing program and FSU fits his winning mentality.

DD Holmes, Cam Riley, Jake Weinberg, D’Nas White and Amaree Williams are scheduled to speak with media tomorrow to conclude summer newcomer interviews.
