Warchant TV Hot Topics: What is a successful first season for Link Jarrett with FSU Baseball?
Former Florida State All-American and veteran college baseball coach Link Jarrett is about to embark upon his first season as head coach at his alma mater.
Jarrett and the Seminoles opened preseason practice last week, and they will throw out the first pitch on Friday, Feb. 17, against visiting James Madison. The Seminoles also will host a Fan Day event this Saturday at 1 p.m.
With Florida State coming off of a disappointing season that featured a 34-25 overall record and a poor postseason performance, Jarrett was hired to replace fired head coach Mike Martin Jr.
With several new faces joining a solid returning nucleus, Warchant convened a panel of our staff members to discuss what should be considered a successful debut season for Jarrett. Would it be hosting an NCAA Regional? Simply making the postseason? Making a run in the ACC?
