Warchant TV: Mike Norvell, Alex Atkins discuss Florida State performance in second preseason scrimmage
Florida State is more than halfway through the preseason following its 14th practice of the summer and second scrimmage of camp on Saturday
Afterward, head coach Mike Norvell revealed most veterans on the offensive line were limited to give the younger linemen a look, and that the young quarterbacks saw extended action as well. He did share his overall confidence in the roster at this point of the preseason and the progress of QB DJ Uiagalelei. Norvell also had high praise for DL Daniel Lyons, OL Andre Otto and others.
Florida State will have six consecutive practices after Sunday’s day off that will take them into game week preparation for Georgia Tech.

Florida State opens the 2024 season in the Aer Lingus College Football classic vs. Georgia Tech on Aug. 24 in Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland.

The Seminoles finished the 2023 season 13-1 with an ACC Championship and its first New Year’s Six bowl berth in 7 seasons.
Florida State has added 14 players from the transfer portal and a high school recruiting class that finished 14th in the 2024 cycle. The 2025 early signing period for prep signees begins Wednesday December 4 and closes on December 6.
