Fresh off its 47-7 season opening rout of FCS foe Duquesne, the Florida State football team (1-0, 0-0) now turns its attention to the Allstate Louisiana Kickoff vs. LSU (0-0, 0-0) in New Orleans on Sunday.
FSU head football coach Mike Norvell commented on his past experiences matching up vs. current LSU offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock and the thorough scouting the Seminoles have done on first-year Tigers defensive coordinator Matt House, who most recently coached linebackers for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Center Maurice Smith has returned to the depth chart, but Norvell did not offer anything definitive on his status; offensive coordinator Alex Atkins later said there was an expectation of Smith attempting to practice during the week.
