Warchant TV: Mike Norvell, Florida State coordinators discuss Cal win, look ahead to SMU
Florida State (1-3, 1-2) will look to build off Saturday’s 14-9 win over Cal when the Seminoles face off vs. SMU, once again becoming the inaugural game for an ACC newcomer.
On Monday, Mike Norvell echoed his postgame sentiments of added benefit from the style of victory in showing the team the importance of responding to adversity. He also complimented the play of Jaylen Early during his opening statement.
“There’s no question we have to get better at everything,” said Norvell.
Injuries: Roydell WIlliams (out – “extended period”), Robert Scott and Jeremiah Byers given more favorable designations and could be ready for Saturday.

FSU’s next opponent, SMU, knocked off TCU in the battle for The Iron Skillet 66-42. SMU is a 5.5 point home favorite at most major sportsbooks.

Florida State added 14 players from the transfer portal and a high school recruiting class that finished 14th in the 2024 cycle. The 2025 early signing period for prep signees begins Wednesday December 4 and closes on December 6.
