Offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn revealed he is focusing on base install and taking things slower to establish a foundation to build off with the second phase of spring looming.
Florida State defensive coordinator Tony White has liked the response from the defense noting in a previous practice the defense struggled in the red zone but players embraced the teaching in the film room and brought it to the scrimmage on Saturday.
Florida State will open the 2025 season in a newly renovated Doak Campbell Stadium when they host Alabama on August 30.
FSU finished in last place in the ACC and below .500 for the fifth time in seven years and third time under Mike Norvell.
Alabama failed to win 10 games for the first time since 2007, its first season under former head coach Nick Saban. The Crimson Tide lead the all-time series 3-1 including the most recent clash, a 24-7 win in 2017
