Warchant TV: Mike Norvell, FSU coordinators size up challenges vs. LSU
Sunday marked the first day of game-week preparation for Florida State as the No. 8 Seminoles prepare for their season opener vs. No. 5 LSU.
On Monday, head coach Mike Norvell revealed Ja’Khi Douglas will be out for a “couple games” with an undisclosed injury.
Asked about freshman Destyn Hill, who is listed atop the depth chart at the third receiver spot, Norvell called the true freshman “smart, explosive” and a good route runner who has shown the ability to help at multiple positions.
On Darrell Jackson, a transfer from Miami that was ruled ineligible by the NCAA earlier in the month, Norvell said they are, “seeking more guidance on any (possible) reevaluation of the process.” Jackson has remained practicing with the team.

Offensive coordinator and line coach Alex Atkins is preparing his unit to embrace a test of toughness vs. LSU. “Our line has to be (physical). We’re not the pretty bunch. We’ve got to grind it. Every day. Every way.”
Defensive coordinator Adam Fuller feels comfortable with what they have on the defensive line with transfer Braden Fiske and others saying, “we’ve got progressively better and deeper.” Fuller also echoed a sentiment from Norvell about grading the preseason camp as one of the best they’ve been around.
