Warchant TV: Mike Norvell post practice interview, Florida State-Miami Week Tuesday
No. 4 Florida State staged a 25 period practice on Tuesday for their first full workday in the lead-up to the showdown vs. rival Miami.
Star wideouts Keon Coleman and Johnny Wilson were spotted at practice, as were RB Lawrance Toafili who exited Saturday’s 24-7 win over Pitt with an undisclosed injury and veteran DL Dennis Briggs who Norvell revealed two weeks ago was nearing a return; Briggs last played vs. Syracuse.
Afterwards, head coach Mike Norvell said he was pleased with the energy and effort in practice and assessed the Miami defense and its ability to limit big plays

No. 4 Florida State (9-0, 7-0) faces the Miami Hurricanes (6-3, 2-3) at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Hurricanes dropped their previous game 20-6 in Raleigh vs. North Carolina State. The Seminoles 24-7 win at Ptt clinched a berth in the ACC Championship; Louisville is alone in second place after a 34-3 win over Virginia Tech.
FSU QB Jordan Travis has the 4th shortest odds of winning the Heisman Trophy given annually to the most outstanding player in college football. Through nine games, Travis has accounted for 26 total touchdowns (seven rushing) and only two interceptions while completing 64% of his passes for 2,469 yards (18th in the country). His 82.6 QBR, a formula generated for ESPN to grade quarterbacks, is seventh best in the nation.
