Florida State (1-3, 1-2) notched its first win of the season by spoiling Cal’s introduction to the ACC, 14-9 in Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday night
Afterwards, head coach Mike Norvell shared his enthusiasm for the result saying, “we needed this game.”
“We needed to find a way when things weren’t all alright,” said Norvell. “Guys fought their tails off to make sure we put our stamp on it at the end.”

Florida State added 14 players from the transfer portal and a high school recruiting class that finished 14th in the 2024 cycle. The 2025 early signing period for prep signees begins Wednesday December 4 and closes on December 6.
