No. 4 Florida State took a leg up in what was a crowded battle atop the ACC with a 38-20 win over No. 16 Duke on Saturday. The Blue Devils, who lost Riley Leonard in the second half, suffered their first double digit loss under second year head coach Mike Elko. North Carolina lost in Chapel Hill to Virginia.

Afterwards, Seminoles’ (7-0, 5-0) head coach Mike Norvell credited the toughness of his team saying, “it took all three phases tonight and all three made major impacts and I’m proud of our team.”

Deuce Spann, who returned a kickoff for a 99 yard touchdown, broke the ceremonial rock in the locker room following the game.
