Florida State’s 20th-ranked 2023 prep recruiting class met needs and featured a handful of highly coveted prospects with vast potential.

Florida State was intent on taking a quarterback from the high school level, and Mike Norvell and staff went to work on prying away Brock Glenn and his plans of enrolling at Ohio State. The consistent messaging and communication from Mike Norvell and QB coach Tony Tokarz was key — “they stuck with me the whole way,” said Glenn.

Lucas Simmons, a native of Sweden, is a relative newcomer to American football, but his 6-foot-8, 307-pound frame is tailor made for the sport and caught the attention of elite programs across the country. His relationship with offensive coordinator/line coach Alex Atkins was instrumental in selecting Florida State

Hykeem Williams, a top 100 prospect, says he picked FSU because it feels like home and that “they’re all in and I’m all in.” Williams always valued the storied tradition at Florida State and having coaches like Ron Dugans, who are alums and are passionate about the program.
