Warchant TV: Thursday FSU practice recap; interviews, video footage
The Florida State football team held a condensed, 16-period practice on Thursday morning largely devoted to special teams work. Afterward, defensive tackles coach Odell Haggins met with reporters to field questions about players in his segment group and the growth of the defense as a whole.
Haggins praised the work ethic of DT Braden Fiske, called DE Patrick Payton one of the smartest players he’s been around in a long time, and voiced support for ineligible defensive lineman Darrell Jackson.
Head coach Mike Norvell, who was not scheduled to speak to reporters, stopped by to field a pair of questions relating to the improved, faster processing of teaching points during practices by using Jordan Travis and their relationship as an example.

Due to the shortened nature of practice, the session was mostly used to cross-train segments with different coaches with only three periods devoted to 11-on-11 work.
Florida State will practice on Friday and Saturday before holding its second scrimmage of the preseason.
