Warchant TV: Transfer LB Cam Riley, four freshmen discuss first month with FSU program
With ACC Kickoff looming in less than a week, football season is quickly approaching and with it the final trickle of newcomers to college programs across the country. On Tuesday, five summer additions to the 2024 Florida State roster met with media to discuss their integration into the program.
Auburn transfer LB Cam Riley originally committed to NC State in the early transfer window but after doing a deep dive into both programs, changed course and committed to Florida State in May.

DE/TE Amaree Williams, who attended the same high school as departing QB Jordan Travis, discusses reclassifying from 2025 to 2024 so he could enroll this summer. Williams says he’s confident his body can hold up to the rigors of the college game and will likely start on the offensive side of the ball at tight end but left the door open to learning defensive end.
DE DD Holmes said he currently weighs between 258-260 lbs with no particular targets other than general increases in strength and speed. Holmes also talked about learning from Florida State pass-rushers Patrick Payton and Marvin Jones Jr.
Florida State opens the 2024 season in the Aer Lingus College Football classic vs. Georgia Tech on Aug. 24 in Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland.
The Seminoles finished the 2023 season 13-1 with an ACC Championship and its first New Year’s Six bowl berth in 7 seasons.
Florida State has added 14 players from the transfer portal and a high school recruiting class that finished 14th in the 2024 cycle. The 2024 transfer window reopens on Tuesday April 16 and closes on April 30.
