Warchant TV: Tuesday Florida State post practice interview, Mike Norvell - Florida week
Florida State (2-9, 1-7) began full-scale preparation for its season finale vs. the Florida Gators with a 25 period practice on Tuesday that was closed to the media.
Afterwards, FSU head coach Mike Norvell fielded questions about quarterback play and the energy at practice.
FSU remains a 14.5 point underdog, the largest such margin at home vs. Florida since 2008 (+16.5).

Saturday’s game will be the second for Florida State since the dismissal of coordinators Alex Atkins and Adam Fuller. Co-defensive coordinator Randy Shannon was tapped to fill the role of leading the defense in the interim while several assistants on the offensive side of the ball are aiding in practice.
On3 business reporter Pete Nakos has included names for presumptive leaders for the vacancies on the Florida State staff, several of which has also been reported by Warchant.com’s Gene Williams
Florida State’s next opponent, Florida, improved to 6-5 after a 24-17 win over #9 Ole Miss. The Gators notched consecutive wins over ranked teams while being unranked for the first time since 2003.

The Seminoles will host Florida on Nov. 30 — it will be the season finale for the Seminoles. Florida State will finish in last place in the ACC and below .500 for the fifth time in seven years and third time under Mike Norvell.
Florida State’s high school recruiting class for 2025 currently sits outside the On3 Top 30 team rankings. The 2025 early signing period for prep signees begins Wednesday December 4 and closes on December 6.
