WR transfer Jordan Scott leaves FSU program before spring portal opens

Junior college wide receiver transfer Jordan Scott, who enrolled at FSU in January, has already left the Seminoles’ program with three more practices remaining this spring.
Scott was no longer on the FSU football team’s official roster as of Tuesday, and he now is expected to enter the transfer portal when it opens on Wednesday. His planned departure was first reported by 247 Sports.
Scott originally committed to Arizona State after playing at Southwest Mississippi Community College, but he flipped to the Seminoles shortly before the December signing period.
Given his size at 6-foot-7 and 219 pounds, FSU’s coaches hoped Scott could be another big target to go with the likes of 6-6 Duce Robinson and other tall receivers and tight ends on the roster. Instead, he leaves the Seminoles without finishing his first semester.

Scott is the third FSU player to announce his departure entering the spring portal window. Offensive lineman Jaylen Early, who was a part-time starter last season, confirmed he will be leaving on Monday. And walk-on quarterback Trever Jackson also announced he was leaving earlier this week.
