2025 NFL Draft: Georgia DL Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins taken by Minnesota Vikings in 5th round

Another Georgia defender has heard his name called in the 2025 NFL Draft. Bulldog EDGE/defensive end Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins was taken 139 overall, in the fifth round by the Minnesota Vikings.
Ingram-Dawkins battled the injury bug in his Georgia career, specifically the 2023 season, but he broke out a bit in 2024. He tallied three sacks and eight tackles for loss while stacking up 19 total tackles. Most of that production took place early in the season as Ingram-Dawkins had seven tackles for loss in Georgia’s first five games. His UGA career ends with him having tallied four career sacks and 12.5 tackles for loss.
A foot injury sidelined him for most of the 2023 season and just when it looked like he might not return, he was able to get back on the field after the Bulldogs’ bye week. Ingram-Dawkins made a massive splash in that game with a strip sack of Graham Mertz that helped Georgia open up a big lead.
The South Carolina native saw action in just one game in 2021, his first season at Georgia. He had two tackles, a tackle for loss and a pass breakup in that one game. The 2022 season saw him become a bigger contributor he played in 14 games with 10 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss.

Ingram-Dawkins signed with Georgia in the 2021 class. He was the nation’s No. 107 overall prospect per the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that includes all four websites that publish recruiting rankings. He was the nation’s No. 14 defensive lineman and the No. 1 player in the Palmetto State.
“His work ethic, he’s done a great job,” Kirby Smart said of Ingram-Dawkins early last season. He talked to the team today about where he was in terms of his mental space when he was a young player and you know obviously thought he should be playing more and it’s funny because he’s matured so much from the time he was like, ‘I should be starting, I should be playing’, to realizing that he wasn’t ready and that he needed to get better. Unfortunately, he didn’t get to play a lot last year because of injury, but he has been able to play a lot this year and he’s done a really good job.”
