4-star CB Ondre Evans officially signs with Georgia
Nashville (Tenn.) Christ Presbyterian Academy four-star cornerback Ondre Evans is officially a Georgia Bulldog. The No. 103 overall prospect in the 2024 On3 Industry Rankings has signed his national letter of intent to play college football at Georgia.
Evans originally committed to LSU. The four-star flipped his commitment from the Tigers to Georgia back on Oct. 18 after a mid-week visit to look into Georgia’s culture. That visit stuck with Evans in the days after.
“A day or two after I left their practice,” Evans told DawgsHQ back on Oct. 18. “We were on the phone and he said it would be like this or like that and I have this many corners. He told me how he coached his guys. Then, I went down for practice and everything said and everything that he wanted, he did it. I was there to see it. It confirmed that he’s not putting on a show or lying. It’s how he is.”
Evans is one of three defensive backs that have pledged to Georgia’s 2024 class. He joins five-star cornerback Ellis Robinson IV and four-star cornerback Demello Jones.

Evans was pushed to Athens by Fran Brown who has since taken the head coaching position at Syracuse. The four-star had his eyes opened as Brown remained persistent.
“He just kept pushing,” Evans told On3’s Chad Simmons. “I held off for a while and I kept telling Coach Fran that I was committed to LSU, but that didn’t stop him. Coach Fran never gave up, he did a great job and he was a big part of this decision.

One of the faster corner prospects in the 2024 cycle. A two-way player on Friday nights. Lines up as an outside corner on defense. Shows the long speed to carry vertical routes downfield. Time spent at receiver helps with his ball skills when projecting to the corner. Making the full-time move to corner and needs to continue honing his footwork in coverage. Physical and athletic traits are ahead of his skill as a player at this stage. Has moldable attributes that point to a high upside but will need time to further develop his skills.
