Georgia has officially inked its signal caller for the Class of 2024, with the Bulldogs announcing the signing of four-star quarterback Ryan Puglisi on Wednesday.

Coming in as the nation’s No. 142 overall prospect and No. 9 quarterback in the On3 Industry Rankings, the 6-foot-2 and a half, 200 pound product of Avon, Connecticut’s Avon Old Farms had been committed to the Bulldogs since October of 2022. He is among those prospects already on campus and is working with the team.

While other teams pressed heavily for his services, Puglisi largely turned a deaf ear to anyone not in Athens, even through coaching changes and other quarterbacks committing.

“I was looking for a school where I would be around the best and pushed to my limits. I want to be coached hard and pushed to my limits. Georgia is the prime example of what I was looking for,” Puglisi told On3’s Chad Simmons upon committing. “I will be pushed by the best, I will be surrounded by the best and I will be coached by the best. The culture at Georgia is supreme excellence. I have always wanted to be around great people. That is what I see at Georgia.”

Now, the strong-armed Puglisi will compete for time in among the Georgia quarterback room, where he’ll join Carson Beck and Gunnar Stockton. The Bulldogs also added the commitment of preferred walk-on Colter Ginn for the 2024 cycle, as well.

Scouting Report on Ryan Puglisi

“Live-armed signal caller who throws with some of the best velocity in the 2024 cycle. Measured at around 6-foot-2.5, 200 pounds with a 9.25-inch hand prior to his senior season. Has a thick, powerful base which he uses to generate power. Can drive the football to multiple levels with ease. Shows the ability to step up in the pocket and rip throws to the far boundary. Capable of layering touch passes in the red zone. A solid functional mover with reactive movements. Has a baseball background with a fastball that reportedly exceeds 90 miles per hour. Can improve his overall consistency in game settings and reaction to pressure. Plays a brief eight game season against varying levels of competition at a boarding school in Connecticut. Will enter college with fewer live game reps and passing attempts than many of his blue-chip peers. Registers as an average athlete in the combine setting.” – Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings, on Ryan Puglisi
