4-star WR CJ Wiley signs with Georgia on National Signing Day
Milton (Ga.) four-star wide receiver CJ Wiley saw twists and turns in his recruitment. It all led him to Georgia. Wiley finally put pen to paper on his opportunity to play college football at Georgia on Wednesday.
The No. 73 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings committed to Florida State back on June 26. Georgia was seen as one of the key programs in Wiley’s recruitment going into his announcement the first time around.
Even following his initial commitment, Wiley hinted that his recruitment would remain open in the months following.
“My recruitment is still going to be open, all the schools will still recruit me and stuff but I’m with the Noles right now, I didn’t sign any papers, I’m just committed to the Seminoles,” Wiley said. “They did reach out and I probably will still go to Georgia since it’s up the road and check up on them and everything.”
Things in Tallahassee changed drastically during the 2024 football season. Ron Dugans was a major piece of the puzzle for Wiley in his recruitment. Dugans and a long list of others have been replaced in Tallahassee after a 2-10 campaign in 2024.

CJ Wiley had a lot of positives with Georgia
Wiley didn’t take long before locking in on Georiga. The Bulldogs add Wiley to a five-man group of four-star wideouts committed in the 2025 class.
Georgia also entered National Signing Day pledges from five-star Talyn Taylor, four-stars Thomas Blackshear, Tyler Williams and Landon Roldan.
For Wiley, Georgia never went away. The four-star playmaker always felt like a priority in Athens. There are plenty of opportunities ahead of Wiley to make plays as well.
“Georgia has a place for you here if you are interested (has been their message),” Wiley said. “Georgia can throw the ball down, and they have a strong and they have a strong running game. I can play all the receiver positions.”
