Arch Manning locks in official visit with the Georgia Bulldogs
Arch Manning is returning to Athens, and this time, he’ll be officially visiting.
DawgsHQ has confirmed a report, originally from 247Sports, that the nation’s On3 Consensus No. 1 prospect will take his official visit to see the Georgia Bulldogs the first weekend in June.
Alabama and Texas will also receive official visits from the top recruit in the country.
InsideTexas reports that Manning will see Austin June 17 through 19.
Georgia quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator Todd Monken was spotted at Manning’s high school home, Isidore Newman School of New Orleans, on Friday evening for the top-rated quarterback’s spring game.
Currently, Texas leads in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine for Manning’s signature.
The Longhorns are considered a 47.2-percent favorite.
Georgia, meanwhile, sits in the second position, with a 39.8-percent chance of signing the coveted prospect.
RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
Arch Manning on Georgia
Just recently, Manning opened up about his relationship with the Dawgs, as well as others, to On3 national analyst Sam Spiegelman:
“I love coach Kirby (Smart), and he’s a real normal guy, a great coach. Georgia, the takeaway from practice there, is that they have athletes all over the field, especially on the defensive line,” Manning said of Georgia. “They have some studs and it shows; they had 15 players drafted. Athens is probably the best college town I’ve ever been to. The coaches are all good people, they know how to win, know what it takes, and it was cool seeing that.”

It wasn’t the first time Manning has been complimentary of Georgia’s head coach or the Bulldogs in general.
“Kirby [Smart] is the man. He’s a great head coach, and it was a great time,” Manning said last fall when DawgsHQ stopped in to catch him in action.
“Georgia’s got it going this year,” Manning said at that time. “Coach [Todd] Monken does a good job. I guess they are more pro-style than a bunch of the offenses you see in college. They’ve got players, and they know how to use them. I’m excited to keep watching them.”
Decision timeline
Manning has hinted that summer visits will be crucial in his process moving forward.
“It’s kind of getting closer. I don’t really have a point yet, but I guess it’s kind of narrowing stuff down,” he said. “I’m looking forward to (making a decision) either before the season or during the season or after the season. If I was ready I’d probably commit right now, but I’m not, so I’m just waiting.”
