We are one weekend closer to the 2025 College Football season. College hoops got us through it, too. Georgia pulled off a big win at Texas, just like football, and now Mike White and company are in a great spot to earn a birth in the NCAA tournament.

There’s some basketball chatter over at DawgsHQ but there’s also plenty of talk about spring practice, which is on the horizon. There’s a quarterback situation that still has to play itself out although Gunner Stockton enters the spring as the favorite. He handled himself well in Georgia’s loss to Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl but improvements must be made.

The Bulldogs also have other position battles on their hands. Safety is a big one and there will be tons of competition on the offensive line, defensive line, and wideout. This is a huge spring for Kirby Smart and company with so many new faces. One thing we know is that the roster is loaded.

That’s because Georgia just brought in another elite class, the No. 2 class in the country per the On3 Industry Ranking. Q: Post combine how many dawgs you predicting drafted?

A: Real shot at 15-16. I think Dan gets drafted late. They have a shot to have the most players drafted again it is not a slam dunk for Ohio State like some think

Q: What is the biggest position battle in spring? Safety?

A: Important minutes up for battle there. Lot of open reps and they brought in 3 transfers because they need to hit (at safety).
