It seems like the 2024 season ended just recently. It was one of the most up-and-down Georgia seasons in recent memory but the Bulldogs have an SEC Championship and another College Football Playoff appearance to show for it.

Starting around mid January, the focus was turned to the 2025 football season. As we all know, February isn’t the busiest month, but believe it or not, there’s still plenty going on behind the scenes.

While coaches are unable to hit the road and recruit, they get the chance to spend more time with the current players. It’s the stage of the offseason where coaches are able to attend and help with winter workouts and team runs. Those Georgia coaches are also working the phones and recruiting prospects in the 2026 class and beyond.

As far as the team goes, walkthroughs have either already begun or will start quite soon. For approximately 30 newcomers, those walkthroughs will be their primary preparation for spring drills. It’ll be their best exposure to what Georgia is going to install and carry, both offensively and defensively, for the 2025 season.

With all of that in mind, DawgsHQ held an hour long Ask Rusty chat on Sunday morning where we delivered some Georgia scoop on demand. Our members had lots of questions and I did my best to provide answers on each of them. Just click on the link below to see all the questions and all the answers, but we’ve also provided you with a couple of examples.

ASK Rusty: February 23, 2025

Q: Is the Crowell kid up there with (Jae) Lamar, (Carsyn) Baker, (Savion) Hiter, (Derrek) Cooper IYO?

A: They would take him if he jumped on it. Not sure he will before others. I am telling y’all, I am going more and more on Jae Lamar. He might be the one I want the most of anyone.

Q: What is your feeling on J’Vari Flowers? (Georgia) have a good shot or is it Miami all the way?

A: UGA has a shot there with T-Rob and James Coley. I will find out exactly how much for us.
