Ask Rusty: Georgia football, recruiting intel ahead of Texas in SEC Championship
Georgia is playing its 13th game of the season inside the Mercedez-Benz Stadium this Saturday, making it the seventh time in the past eight seasons that it has done so. The No. 5-ranked Bulldogs are set for a rematch with No. 2 Texas in the SEC Championships (4 p.m. ET on ABC).
The Bulldogs are currently the 2.5-point underdog. It’s just the second time this season that they’ve been on that side of the betting line and the first time was when they went to Austin back in October. The odds read Georgia +4 in that one and the Bulldogs grabbed a 30-15 win.
Not only is there a big game coming up, but Georgia also has its sights set on the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class for the 2025 cycle. National Signing Day has moved up a week this year, making it this Wednesday and yes, we’re less than 48 hours away.
Georgia is trying to flip at least three targets, some from other SEC programs, and they have at least one massive uncommitted prospect still out there. Kirby Smart says that recruiting is the lifeblood of a College Football program and the Bulldogs are looking for an infusion.
