Georgia has added one of the top available players in the country with the commitment of defensive lineman Christen Miller on Wednesday.

A four-star prospect out of Cedar Grove High School in Ellenwood, Ga., Miller is ranked the No. 121 overall player and No. 16 defensive lineman according the On3 Consensus Rankings. Furthermore, he’s a top-10 player in the Peach State, marking the fifth that the Bulldogs have on board in the Class of 2022. Miller joins Cedar Grove teammate Carlton “C.J.” Madden in the Bulldogs’ No. 3-ranked class where he’ll play alongside five-stars Malaki Starks, Mykel Williams, Marvin Jones Jr. and Jahiem Singletary among other talented players.

Georgia has long been perceived as the favorite to land Miller’s commitment. His relationships with his fellow class-mates made that the case. However, the Bulldogs weren’t going to bring him in without competition. Ohio State made a strong push, as did Miami and Oregon where he took official visits to during the month of January. But, when all was said and done, it was the in-state school winning out for Miller’s signature.

“Georgia has not stopped recruiting me hard since they picked up late in the spring,” Miller told On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons in late November. “It could be Kirby Smart, coach (Dan) Lanning (defensive coordinator), coach (Tray) Scott (defensive line), or coach Coop (David Cooper, relations) — Georgia doesn’t slow it down with me.”

“I know everyone at Georgia. I have been around them a lot, a lot of the players know me, and it is comfortable for me at Georgia because of those relationships,” he continued. “The way Georgia has recruited me is similar to Ohio State. It is about that consistency. I know a lot of the coaches, a lot of the players, and a lot of the recruits, so it is a good feeling with them.”

On3 Director of Scouting Charles Power wrote the following scouting summary of Miller’s game:

Stoutly-built defensive tackle who plays with outstanding leverage. Gets underneath the pads of opposing offensive linemen with regularity. Powerful, with the ability to push the pocket as a power rusher. Also has the capability of timing up his first step with the snap and winning with quickness. A disruptive and high-energy player for one of the more talented defensive fronts in the state of Georgia and the southeast. Registers as an average athlete for the position. Younger prospect for the class.
