College GameDay coming to Athens for Georgia-Ole Miss
Georgia Football is going to be at the center of the College Football world next Saturday. As the Bulldogs welcome Ole Miss to town, ESPN’s College GameDay will make a trip to Athens to feature the top-10 showdown.
The Rebels were ranked No. 10 in the initial College Football Playoff poll, a part of Georgia’s stretch of three straight ranked matchups, making up the sixth-toughest remaining schedule in the country. Both teams won Saturday.
It’s the first time Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso and the rest of the crew will be in the Classic City this season. They last were in Athens a year ago as UGA took on Tennessee, handing the Vols a 27-13 loss in a matchup of unbeatens.
Athens has previously hosted College GameDay eight times. GameDay’s first trip to Athens was for Georgia-Tennessee in 1998. After losing the first two GameDay games in Athens, the Bulldogs have won each of the last six.
