It feels almost like a weekly thing that Georgia Football is taking center stage. For the third time in five games the Bulldogs will be playing in primetime on ABC. For the second time in that same time span, UGA is part of the featured matchup on ESPN’s College GameDay as the pregame show announced on Saturday it’ll head to Austin, Texas next weekend to catch the top-5 matchup that is Georgia-Texas.

For UGA, it’s the 38th all-time appearance on the show, sixth-most of any school. It hasn’t always been a blessing for the Bulldogs though, coming in with a 17-20 record. Georgia appeared on the show earlier in the season for its matchup in Tuscaloosa with Alabama. The Bulldogs fell behind early, battled back to take the lead late but watched as the Crimson Tide responded in dramatic fashion to win 41-34.

Despite being two of the premier programs in the country, Georgia and Texas have met just five times. The Longhorns own a 4-1 advantage, winning the last meeting between the two too when they played in the Sugar Bowl to end the 2018 season.
