Indianapolis Colts Head Coach Shane Steichen argues a call with officials Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025, during a game against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Georgia’s annual coaches clinic will take place this spring, March 20-22 to be exact, and the Bulldogs have announced their headlining speakers. Indianapolis head coach Shane Steichen will work the clinic as well as ESPN NFL analyst Rex Ryan, the former head coach of the New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills.

The spring coaches clinic at UGA is always well-attended with hundreds of coaches from around the country making their way to Athens in hopes of taking some knowledge, drills, and more back with them. In the past Georgia has had coaches like Bill Belichick, Josh McDaniels, Mike MacDonald and numerous other NFL coaches

“Attendees will have the opportunity to attend break-out sessions, visit with the UGA coaching staff during chalk talks and enjoy great food and fellowship at the clinic socials,” Georgia says via it’s clinic website.

“Participants will enhance their knowledge of all aspects of the game through break-out sessions with guest speakers covering philosophy and scheme and by participating in the chalk talks led by each member of the UGA staff.

“The 2025 clinic also offers the unique opportunity to join the UGA staff on the field for two practice sessions to observe on-field demonstrations, position specific drills and overall practice scripting and format.

“The entire UGA coaching staff as well as the Directors of Strength & Conditioning, Recruiting, Operations, Sports Medicine and Player Development will be available to socialize and answer any questions you may have about the Georgia football program.”

The clinic isn’t just for coaches to learn from Georgia, either. Those Steichen and Ryan will likely spend some time with the UGA staff as well. The Bulldogs will also pick the brains of high school coaches who attend as the game has become one that adapts from multiple different angles.
